Getting Started with AIVR

Learn about the requirements for getting access to the AIVR Platform on your machine, and how to log in to begin viewing footage.

Once your team has been granted access to the AIVR Platform, logging in and accessing data couldn’t be easier. This article runs through the prerequisites for utilising the platform so that you can make the most of AIVR’s breadth of data as soon as possible.

Setting Up AIVR

No specialist installation is required to use the AIVR Platform, as it is fully web-based. All you will need is an internet connection and a modern, up-to-date web browser, such as:

• Google Chrome
• Microsoft Edge
• Safari
• Firefox

While AIVR is primarily designed for desktop and laptop use, you can also access it on tablets and smartphones; however, some advanced features may be unavailable or have limited functionality on mobile devices. For the best experience and access to the full range of AIVR features, we recommend using a desktop or laptop.

To view session footage at full HD quality on the platform, you will need a broadband internet connection with sufficient bandwidth for streaming, although there are low bandwidth and still image options within AIVR if you experience issues with buffering.

Logging Into AIVR

Once your AIVR licence has been activated, you’ll receive a welcome email at your registered email address. This will contain a link to create an account and set your password.

You can then log in by heading to the AIVR Platform:

1. Enter the email address that your welcome email was sent to and the password that you set for the account.
2. If you are a user of multiple workspaces, you will be able to select which one to access.

Once signed in, you can easily switch workspace without having to log out and back in – check out our help article on workspaces for more information on how to do this.

When you wish to log out of the AIVR Platform, click on the account icon in the bottom-left corner of the interface, and then select “Log out”.

Resetting Your Password

You can change your account password at any time using the “Forgotten password?” link on the login page. After submitting your reset request, follow the instructions in the email you receive to set a new password. The reset email may take a few minutes to arrive in your inbox – if you’re unable to find it, make sure to check your spam folder.
