Video Types
The AIVR Platform hosts video data from a wide range of both portable and permanently installed devices. The most common type is Forward Facing Video (FFV). This video provides a view similar to what is seen from riding in the cab and can be captured from either the front or rear of a train.
FFV is recorded using portable AIVR devices such as AIVR Go and AIVR Tail-Lamp Cameras (TLC), as well as through permanently installed AIVR Connect systems. In addition to FFV, the platform may also include other types of video, such as Overhead, Thermal and Structural Inspection.
Switch between Video Types
If a session includes data from multiple devices, you can toggle between them to view different perspectives.
-
- Simply use the ‘Video Type’ button located in the footer of the video player to select the view you would like to see.
- As you switch between views, your current position in the video will remain the same, allowing for a smooth and seamless review experience.
