One Big Circle was deeply honoured to host Lord-Lieutenant Peaches Golding OBE at our Bristol offices for a special reception, celebrating our achievement of the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation. Following the presentation, Peaches toured our offices, engaging with employees across various departments to gain a deeper understanding of their roles, backgrounds and contributions. She was particularly interested in how our “circles”—from business development and finance to engineering and software development—collaborate to drive innovation within the organisation. She also received a demonstration of the hardware components, which are designed and developed in-house by our specialist engineering team.

The day concluded with a speech from Peaches, where she shared the story behind the King’s Award and read aloud the official citation from His Majesty The King. She then presented the founding team of four with the Kings Award trophy—a stunning symbol of achievement—which they proudly accepted on behalf of the entire One Big Circle team.

Lord-Lieutenant Peaches Golding OBE commented, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to One Big Circle for achieving the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in the category of Innovation – one of only 61 companies across the UK to achieve the Award in this category. The application of innovation to both drive forward the safe inspection of railways and to reduce repair and maintenance costs brings about real time and money savings.”

Emily Kent, Co-Founder commented, “It was a truly memorable day. We were very proud to host Bristol’s Lord Lieutenant, Peaches Golding, and demonstrate to her the innovations achieved by the company. It was a real honour to be able to introduce to her the brilliant team members behind that exciting progress being made in Bristol and in the railway industry, and there was a real buzz around the whole occasion.”
