One Big Circle Co-Founder Emily Kent Appointed to Railway Industry Association Board

One Big Circle (OBC) is pleased to announce that Co-Founder and Director Emily Kent has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Railway Industry Association (RIA), the leading trade body representing the UK’s rail supply sector.

The appointment reflects RIA’s commitment to strengthening technology representation at Board level, with Emily joining a governing body made up of some of the most senior leaders from across the UK rail supply sector, working alongside RIA’s Chief Executive Darren Caplan and Directors to help shape the strategic direction of the industry.

Emily co-founded One Big Circle in 2017, having previously worked in the broadcast and highways industries delivering intelligent video solutions and AI. Since 2019, OBC has been working in the railway industry, deploying its award-winning AIVR (Automated Intelligent Video Review) — an end-to-end technology solution now used by over 13,000 professionals across the UK and international rail sector.

She is a strong advocate for collaborative working and for supporting new and diverse talent entering the industry.

Emily’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the UK rail sector, as the industry navigates the transition to Great British Railways while continuing to harness new technology to meet the industry demands of improving safety, performance and efficiency.
