Spring Roundup: New Partnerships, New Capabilities
Recent Highlights
It’s been a busy start to 2026 for One Big Circle. From a major strategic partnership to new training opportunities and expanded platform capabilities, here’s a look at what we’ve been up to and how it’s helping build a safer, smarter railway.
Strategic Partnership with Loram
One Big Circle has announced a strategic partnership and minority investment from Loram Maintenance of Way, a world-leading provider of railway track maintenance equipment and services. This marks a significant step in OBC’s international expansion, combining Loram’s global reach and industry expertise with AIVR’s infrastructure monitoring technology.
The partnership will support deployment of AIVR technology across new territories and rail networks worldwide. One Big Circle remains fully independent, continuing to deliver the same high standards of service to our existing customers – while working together on exciting new opportunities on the global stage.

CPD Certified Training & Lunch and Learns
OBC is now offering two CPD-certified one-hour sessions for rail industry professionals.
The AIVR Drop-in is a hands-on dashboard walk through covering data capture, key tools, and exports. Beginning with an introduction to One Big Circle and the AIVR Platform, attendees are guided through the full suite of platform tools including map and session navigation, video and still-image playback, annotations, measurements, snapshots, and exports.
The OBC Lunch and Learn Webinar takes a wider look across our multi-award-winning suite of AIVR products. Through real case studies and live demonstration, attendees will see how AIVR can transform infrastructure monitoring – enhancing safety, reducing site visits, cutting costs, and improving decision-making across operations and engineering teams.
Both sessions are one hour, CPD-certified, and open to rail industry professionals at any stage of their AIVR journey.

Continuous Broken Rail Reporting with Network Rail
OBC continues to support Network Rail engineers with the rapid identification and reporting of broken and cracked rails, fishplates, and joints through AIVR’s line scanning cameras.
These cameras capture incredibly high detailed imagery of the track environment, enable engineers to review potential defects early, and take action before issues escalate – reducing risk and keeping the network running safely.

Seasonal Preparation with AIVR
As conditions change with the season, AIVR’s seasonal preparation toolkit gives operators the intelligence to stay ahead.
From low ballast detection and vegetation encroachment to adhesion monitoring, adjustment switch and joint gap inspection, and OLE balance weight monitoring, maintenance teams have everything they need to prioritise interventions and prepare the network for the months ahead.
